PAVE Updates – Q3 2025

15.10.2025 Reading time: 8 min

In Q3, we continued our mission to make PAVE even more powerful, transparent, and user-friendly. A range of new features and enhancements now help you manage projects more efficiently, adjust responsibilities with greater flexibility, and maintain full visibility at all times. From smarter workflows and enhanced control over file actions to optimized processes in the BIM module – these updates make it easier than ever to deliver projects smoothly and enable even more seamless collaboration within your team.

More flexibility and clarity for your project management

With the latest updates, PAVE makes your project work even smarter and more adaptable. The new delegate function ensures that tasks continue reliably even during absences – responsibilities can easily be transferred to designated representatives. Thanks to the new option to change file ownership, responsibilities remain up to date and can be quickly adjusted when teams change or new roles are assigned. And with the permission matrix now available for archived projects, you retain full visibility of all access rights even after a project is completed. This keeps your project organization transparent, flexible, and future-proof.

Delegates function

USER MANAGEMENT

In the Groups module, users can now designate representatives – either individual users or entire groups. Representation is set up on a project-specific basis and allows representatives to automatically assume the role of owner. They are granted access to assigned files and workflow steps, which they can view and edit. This ensures that project work continues seamlessly even in the event of absences.

Change of ownership for files

DOCUMENTS & PLANS

Project administrators can now change the owner of files and transfer rights to other users as needed. This allows responsibilities to be adjusted flexibly—for example, when teams change or new responsibilities arise—and always keeps the project structure up to date and clear.

Rights matrix also available in archived projects

DOCUMENTS & PLANS

Administrators can now view the rights matrix in archived projects as well. This ensures that all permissions remain transparent and traceable—even after a project has been completed. Responsibilities and access rights can thus be checked and documented at any time.

New in the BIM Module

Optimized import of BCF issues

The import of BCF issues has been significantly improved in the BIM module. Potential complications – such as when assigning models or other data – are now clearly described and highlighted in color. This allows problems to be identified and corrected immediately during import, making the process much more transparent and efficient.

Features for Optimized Data Management

Improved BCF Import
The import of BCF issues has been significantly improved: potential errors in model assignment are now clearly described and can be easily corrected directly during the import process.

We are celebrating the version V.5.100!

28.07.2025 Reading time: 2 min

With our release in calendar week 31, we are reaching a symbolic milestone – a moment to briefly look back together on the past eight years and thank our customers, users, and partners. One hundred iterations of our “Modern GUI”!

Over the years, our product has undergone several major changes and countless smaller ones – both technically and functionally. It all started with our main version 1.0 as a pure online file repository for digitized documents.

The journey continued about eight years ago with version 3.0, marking the launch of our “Modern” interface, which was also built on a completely new technological foundation. This version already featured a comprehensive project space with numerous collaboration and communication tools, replacing the outdated “Classic” interface.

Over the last one hundred update cycles, the product evolved across two major versions – from pink eProjectCare to PAVE – into a state-of-the-art CDE at the core of a construction project’s application landscape. In addition to expanding our own functionality, it became increasingly important to offer easy and standardized integration options for third-party specialist applications through open interfaces.

We cannot emphasize enough that we achieved all of this only with your support. Your user feedback, feature requests, and bug reports helped us improve and expand PAVE with every update, and guided us in the right direction.

Key developments from V.5.0 to V.5.100

Highlights from one hundred releases include, among others:

  • Flexible workflows for mapping a wide range of processes, such as plan and invoice review

  • Our filename assistant to easily ensure compliance with all naming conventions

  • The BIM module with BIM Viewer, BCF Server, Issue Management, and integration with BIM Collab

  • Open API for external system integration

PAVE Updates – Q2 2025

02.07.2025 Reading time: 8 min

With the Q2 2025 updates, PAVE introduces a range of new features across document management, communication, and BIM integration. PAVE users will benefit from practical enhancements that simplify everyday work. Usability has also been refined: folders can now be moved via drag-and-drop, column headers have been clarified, and an expanded download assistant is available.

The PAVE BIM and Workflows Modules also see major improvements. The fully implemented openCDE integration enables standardized, cross-platform data exchange without the need for custom interfaces. This is complemented by a new Revit plugin, allowing direct model uploads and issue management from within Revit. Additionally, BIM models can now be viewed and edited directly within workflow steps – including new filter options for labels and project stages. These updates further enhance BIM process integration and ensure more structure and efficiency in planning and collaboration.

The Support & Help section has also been redesigned: a new button leads to the help page in PAVE, giving you access to the Help Center, where manuals, release notes, and videos are centrally available.
