PAVE Updates – Q1 2026

15.04.2026 Reading time: 8 min

Q1 2026 brought one thing above all: fewer interruptions to the workflow. Several areas were addressed to make content easier to reuse and to make information available exactly where it’s needed. Drafts can be continued directly, viewpoints become part of ongoing communication, issues are centrally visible in the BIM Viewer, and model-based checking with Solibri is now directly integrated into this context. Additionally, new fields in the BCF dialog provide more structure.

Workflows that build on each other

The latest updates in PAVE address exactly the points where work often restarts unnecessarily. Content can be adopted directly, visual information remains part of communication, and issues are centrally available in the BIM Viewer.

With the Solibri integration, model-based checking is more closely tied to project work. Review states and issues remain consistent and traceable without having to manage information separately. At the same time, the underlying structure becomes clearer: new fields in the BCF dialog help organize content more precisely and make it more quickly accessible. The result is a working environment where information is reliably brought together.

Drafts in the communication module rethought

A draft becomes a reliable template. Content is preserved, can be adjusted as needed, and reused directly. Especially for recurring coordination tasks, this creates a continuous workflow. Instead of rebuilding content from scratch, existing work is carried forward. This saves time, reduces potential errors, and ensures consistent communication throughout the project. The updated timestamp keeps every version clearly traceable.

Embedding viewpoints directly into communication

Visual perspectives from issues can be added directly to comments. Relevant views are available exactly where they are needed for coordination. This brings context into communication without requiring additional references or explanations. Content is understood faster, follow-up questions are reduced, and coordination becomes significantly clearer.

Solibri Interface

The new Solibri interface makes model-based collaboration in PAVE faster, clearer, and fully digital.

What’s now possible

Direct synchronization of BCF issues between PAVE and Solibri – including new issues
Reviews, comments, and corrections without exports or imports
Consistent, up-to-date data through tight integration with the BIM module
End-to-end review, documentation, and processing of BIM issues in both systems

The integration connects model checking and issue management into a seamless, media-break-free workflow that saves teams time and significantly improves the quality of BIM coordination.

Complete issue overview directly in the BIM Viewer

All issues in a project are centrally visible in the BIM Viewer, regardless of their connection to the model. This provides a continuous overview of open topics without needing to switch between views. Model-independent content also remains present and can be placed directly within the current working context. This simplifies navigation within the project and supports well-informed decisions.

More structure in the BCF dialog

Stage and labels expand the options for clearly categorizing issues. Information can be structured more precisely and found more quickly. This improves the overview within the project and makes both filtering and evaluation easier. Coordination is therefore based on a cleaner and more traceable foundation.

Features for optimized data management

Export files including annotations
Annotations added in the viewer can now be downloaded together with the file. All markings and comments are retained and remain fully available outside the application.

Viewer seamlessly integrated into workflows
If the viewer is enabled in the project, it is automatically used when opening files in workflows. This allows content to be viewed and edited directly in the familiar environment.

Annotations as a shared working baseline
Users with read access can view annotations as well as create and edit their own. This ensures a clear, shared foundation for coordination directly within the document.
