PMG has been supporting the Raindrop Foundation for several years. It was established in 2009 and is non-profit and active as a trust organization of the Steyler Bank Foundation.
The founder and chairman of the foundation, Father Dr. Moses Asaah Awinongya, comes from Ghana. Having grown up in poor circumstances himself, he knows how urgently the youth in his homeland needs help and how important a proper education is.
Even as a youngster, Father Moses strove to give the youth in his homeland a good education, because people with prospects in their own country do not flee, but like to live where they were born.
The Raindrop Foundation accompanies children and young people throughout Ghana in their school, vocational and university education. With its “save a life today” project, which focuses primarily on clean and fresh water, the foundation promotes the health of schoolchildren and helps prevent many diseases. Raindrops also arranges direct sponsorships. Currently, more than 250 protégés are sponsored throughout Ghana.
To improve health care in the region, a campus clinic is currently being built. It will also serve as a training facility for practical training of nurses through ReCAS. The curricula for the degree programs have been developed and the accreditation process is underway. The Foundation would greatly appreciate donations for equipment for the demonstration/training rooms and for scholarships.
A donation receipt will be issued for donations.
