Stadtwerke München takes on responsibility in many areas of the city and creates space for living and working, both directly and indirectly. Around 10 years ago, SWM was looking for a partner who offers a cloud-based application to structure and simplify communication with all planners and companies. Since then, a total of 30 construction projects in the order of magnitude of 10 – 200 million euros and between 50 – 200 project participants have been successfully carried out with the PMG project room.

Requirements for PAVE
Usually, the project room is set up at the beginning of the first planning phase. Timely setup and document filling is important here. The team of PMG supports you from day 1 and can be reached quickly. For an effective collaboration, an individual document and folder structure, including a plan key and file name convention, was developed together with SWM. The reporting ensures transparency during the entire project duration, which precisely documents who received which documents and plans with which status and when.

“The PMG project room contains exactly those functions that we need for our projects, which means that the platform remains clear and is very easy and intuitive to use – after all, we attached great importance to this,” said Mr. Fellmann. 10 years ago, SWM took an important step in the direction of digitization of communication and data exchange and will continuously expand the range of functions used for its projects based on the positive experience. In addition, the repro service provider CDS, which is directly connected to PAVE, ensures transparent and time-saving commercial processing.

IT CITY HALL MUNICH
As the “cerebrum” of the city, Munich’s IT town hall bundles the information and telecommunications technology of the city administration with around 650 employees. In addition to a service center with two office buildings, a new computing and printing center was built. As a client, Stadtwerke München is relying on sustainability and synergies for the complex near the Olympic Park. The new buildings expand the M-Campus technology park in Moosach, an important Munich IT location. The middle of the technology park is the central campus. The attractively designed open space opens to the east with a view of the Olympic site.
OPERATION CENTER MUNICH-MOOSACH
The uninterrupted passenger growth at the Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG) requires a larger depot. That is why MVG is currently preparing three new depot projects together with its parent company SWM, one each for the subway, tram and bus. The most advanced is the “New Moosach Bus Depot” project, which is being developed as a “hybrid concept”: The building complex is divided into two areas of use – the bus depot and an urban development with office space for around 900 workplaces and a car park for around 320 parking spaces.
